The Afterburn team consists of experienced business professionals and qualified and experienced coaches who will help you reach your fitness goals and objectives while challenging your assumptions on the way.  Unlike conventional gyms that focus on telling you what to do, our team believes in teaching you the principles and rationale behind the exercise and movement so that you can develop self-awareness and independence.

Camilo is the hard worker behind the facility cleanliness and the execution of new projects to improve facility operations. He is unique in that he keeps the place spotless but can also handle nearly any fix or build project we’ve thrown at him. We’re super thankful to have him as apart of the team.
Loving father of two, Camilo is an all-around handyman, at work and at home.
If anything is broken, needs cleaning or if you have some tips for keeping things cleaner, do not hesitate to e-mail the general account or talk to Camilo directly.

Leslie profile picture.jpg

Office Manager

Leslie graduated from York University with a degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. With a previous background of working for Goodlife Fitness for many years, she now helps Afterburn with administrative duties, staffing and general, all-round business organization when applicable.

Eager to help where she can, feel free to reach out to her with any questions are concerns!

Leslie enjoys a good workout when she can, but is not currently involved in any sports (in fact, if you ask her, she will insist that she has two left feet).

She hopes to one day become more involved with the Dragonboat community when she finishes post-grad.

Former Co-Owner Operator

Lisa was the driving force to taking Andrew's random ideas and making them come to life, like the paddling pool! She ran Afterburn alongside Andrew and her main role was to ensure the facility was managed and run flawlessly. Lisa held a Bachelor and Master degree from the Schulich School of Business and leveraged her business background to maintain a positive experience for members, teams and guests.  From 9 to 5, Lisa worked as an analytics professional at a global loyalty management firm.  Her training was focused on maximizing results and intensity in short workouts to build mental discipline.
Lisa passed away in November of 2017 after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. She continues to live on in our facility and the memories of everyone she graced at the facility.
