We are home to Toronto's only indoor paddling pool, purpose built for Dragon Boat paddling. This pool, in combination with our fleet of indoor paddling ergs and comprehensive strength and conditioning equipment, uniquely positions our facility as the premier destination to refine both your technique and fitness for the sport of dragon boat.

BARBELL TRAINING

Find high-performance free-weight and bodyweight focused strength and conditioning equipment set in a community that encourages you to strive for more. Our athletes focus on less hype and more results. Over 90% of our members show up more than twice a week, compared to commercial gyms where on average 95% don’t show up at all.

OUR STORY

Our namesake originates from the Afterburn Effect or EPOC which refers to more calories burned post-exercise than during the exercise itself. Conventional wisdom says work harder and longer to increase performance and lose excess weight. EPOC says work out smarter: the more intense the exercise over shorter time periods, the more likely your body is deprived of the oxygen it needs to maintain a steady/rest state. To return to a resting state the body consumes MORE energy (calories) post-workout than during the actual workout.


We choose this name because it speaks to how we approach fitness and our community, purposefully, counterintuitively, efficiently and effectively.
