Powerlifting and Afterburn Barbell Club
Community
Afterburn has reinvented the gym experience through its amazing and strong community. Unlike other commercial gyms who may ask you to “be a little more quiet”, we encourage lifters through our supportive members who won’t hold themselves from screaming “UP”! The core values of Intensity, Efficiency, Effectiveness, Sustainability and Togetherness created an environment that ultimately captivated people from various athletic backgrounds.
Who is Barbell
Afterburn Barbell Club is a family of diverse individuals who want nothing more than to bring out the best in one another. Our mission statement is to “build a strong community through competitive and recreational barbell training, to provide a positive and inclusive training atmosphere, and to compete as a team in sanctioned Powerlifting meets.Whether you are looking to compete on a team or to learn from the best, this is the place to start your journey. There are a plethora of expereinced coaches who have the resources and knowledge to make you better.
Led by Walter and the exec team, Afterburn Barbell Club presents special events for the powerlifting community each year. For the non-OPA powerlifters, Jingebars is the meet to be at every Decemeber! Here hundreds of dollars worth of prizes are at stake aswell as special events for anyopne to compete in. Make Afterburn your home for competition prep with all the specialty equipment you need at your disposal.
